I have psoriasis, and my dermatologist recommended photo therapy (in moderation) to help with my outbreaks. Except, I know virtually nothing about tanning. The people in the salon don’t really seem to know what they’re talking about, so I thought I’d ask Yahoo.
I’m fair-skinned, and I don’t tan easily. Also, I’ve only ever tanned a couple of times, almost a year ago. What sort of tanning lotion should I use?

To be honest with you, if you are tanning to manage your psoriasis, then you should not use lotion at all. If you feel it’s drying out your skin, then you should only use a hypoallergenic tanning product. Ask the salon if you can order a bottle of hypoallergenic stuff. Designer Skin makes something called Shear Wisdom. There are other manafacturers and types. But my recommendation is to go without — for your psoriasis that is.

In general, everyone should use an indoor tanning product (ones you get at the salon), in order to get the darkest tan possible. But in your case, you’re doing this more for psoriasis, so go without.

Here is a horrific fact!

Most businesses fail!(even tanning salons!)
Why?

The majority of new entrepeneurs don't really understand the business they jump into. And when they scramble after realizing they've overspent, or underestimated the industry, it's simply too late!

Unfortunately, many new owners simply don't where to find this insider knowledge and won't succeed in today's tanning business environment. Too many hard working entrepeneurs are losing their money, and their dreams, due to a lack of this specific information.

I use one called "Thrust". Kind of a strange name but it is made with hempseed and all natural oils, and also has vitamin E in it. You should use products with natural ingredients because they are better for your skin. Look in your tanning salon for natural lotions. I got Thrust from my salon, but it was expensive: $40CA for one bottle.
