I am going to a stand up tanning booth in 2 days for the first time, I have questions.?
Posted by Sonni in: stand up tanningI know this sounds stupid but I am very skeptical.
What do you wear?
If you breathed wouldn’t you breathe in the tanning spray?
How do you breathe properly without getting a mouthful of tan spray?
Do they usually provide you with goggles/sunscreen (to make sure you don’t burn the very important parts)?
Well are you getting a spray tan? or just in a stand up tanning bed. Usually people go in their bathing suits but some don’t like tan lines. If you go spray tanning I wouldn’t use a good bathing suit though.
They do have goggles and lotion at the place you go. You dont have to worry about breathing in the spray because you wont. So dont worry about that. I would not suggest going spray tanning though because people just end up being orange and they dont realize it (like me when I was a sophmore).
If you really want to tan, I would stick with the beds becuause you are less apt to turn out orange. =]

Most new business fail within a year. Tanning salons are no exception. The number one reason for this failure is "lack of industry knowledge"
Some insider information might be ALL that is standing between your VERY profitable tanning salon business, and becoming just another stat!

Do you know the 7 Reasons Most New Salons Fail!
There was a friend of ours who got blind-sided by this industry. Her experiences and our research led us to sit down and publish this information. It is our hope that another unsuspecting entrepeneur won't be upset, or lose their dreams due to a lack of good, current information. To read more of that story click here

Are you going in a stand up tanning bed or a spray tan booth? One is actual harmful UV rays, one is self tanner. Totally different things.
I would recommend the spray tan kind. You don’t want skin cancer or to look like a bag of leather right? Tanning beds increase skin cancer by 70%.
When you spray tan you either wear nothing at all, an old g-string, swimsuit that you don’t care if you get tanner on. Its up to you. Its not a continuous spray. You will have time to breath and when its time to spray you will get a warning and you just hold your breath for 5 seconds or so.
No you will not be orange. Tanners have come a long way since the 80′s and are pretty brown now and not orange. Exfoliate your skin well, go with no lotion, make up or deodorant on and don’t wear any jewelry.
