Stand up tanning bed..?
Posted by Sonni in: stand up tanningI just had my 3rd session in a stand up tanning bed yesterday. The one that I use is the kind that does not have any bulbs on the door, just the sides and back. By the end of yesterday I noticed that half of my body was red, the front was not tan.
My question is, is there a certain way to stand up in the bed to get an even all around tan. I usually face towards the door with my arm up on the handles. I dont want to look only "half baked"
Any help in the matter would be great. I am planning on asking the lady when I go back, but would just like some insite if I am doing something wrong.
(Im going on vac. next month and dont want to be pastey white when I go. lol)
thanks a bunch in advance.
There is nothing wrong with the bed. They are in great condition.
I have this same problem in a regular bed! my back was scorched! In the stand up bed I would just turn one way half the time and then turn the other way.

The statistics don't lie!
Most new business fail within a year. Tanning salons are no exception. The number one reason for this failure is "lack of industry knowledge"

I have been in the tanning industry for a couple of years. I have never seen a tanning booth with no bulbs on the door! I would ask if they had another booth with bulbs all around.
If not, do they have beds? Do a bed every other time. You could also turn in the booth half way through it, but if there are bulbs on the sides then those will become darker, I would imagine.
