does the use of benzyl peroxide affect self-tanning lotions or the use of a tanning bed?
Posted by Sonni in: Tanning Lotionsim just wondering because for some reason my face wont tan like the rest of me does, whether it be from a salf-tanning lotion or an actual tanning bed. i do everything as you should when using both means. so the only thing i can think of is maybe, since benzyl peroxide can lighten clothing, could it be possible its preventing my tan?
im sure it can affect it. if you read the benzyl peroxide label it probably tells you to stay out of the sun as well. BUT, for most people, tanning in a tanning bed doesnt tan your face as well. i know for me it doesnt. using facial tanners in the bed help, but not a whole lot. im thinking of buying a special tanning lotion to use a the salon that it made for the face. it doesnt have any bronzers in it to make the tan fake/washable, but it is sopposed to make your face tan better. otherwise using a gradual tanner on your face should work. maybe try the next shade up if you have not seen a change in the one you are using. for instance, if i use a fake tanner for fair skin, i barely see a change, but if i use one for medium skin, i see a change much quicker.
hope this helps!

Tanning Salon Gold

yes it can and also the face tans less. try using a special face tanning lotion (they are oil free to prevent breakouts) or a tannin bed with facial tanners

Yeah my friend’s bro used proactive skin cleanser but it was full of bleach and his hair line actually got lighter and the towels got marked!
However be careful with tanning beds for your face. My mum’s a beauty therapist and has trained me abit and Ive done a waxing course so sometimes I help her. She has a solarium in her shop. We have noticed that the regular girls get a line of pigmentation above their lips (kinda like a faint moustache) not very feminine. I always wear a special hat/mask thing when Im in there. I think its more natural to have a fairer face and then just use a bronzing powder as your makeup. Hope this helps! At least put a line of sunscreen above your lip.

It’s always best to use the facial lotion so you don’t risk having a breakout. Plus, it has added nutrients for your face.
